HWS (UK) LTD has extensive knowledge in the sector of pipeline design, installation, testing and commissioning. From inception to completion our team can manage all aspects of your project, large or small and with many different materials Inc. welded polyethylene, ductile Iron, welded steel, concrete and all other rigid plastics i.e. MoPVC and installed at any required depth to suit design specification.
Typical responsibilities would include; client meetings, early talks with landowners re: requirements, easement fencing, management, excavation / installation, testing, chlorination, commissioning and reinstatement.

Typical construction process
Land easement fencing: We strive to build a good rapport with landowners and understand the complexities that linear projects pose with regard to access and egress, this approach ensures that work can start and continue in a manner that is widely understood. We erect easement fencing in accordance with client & landowner’s requirements and once complete begin to strip topsoil using trained professionals and economic, smooth & efficient plant to mitigate loss of topsoil or cross contamination with sub-soils.
Pipe Stringing: With bespoke pipe trailers that can be modified to suit most pipe sizes and materials stringing can be carried out safely and efficiently ready for installation.
Installation: With technology constantly evolving, HWS (UK) LTD strive to equip and train our staff in the latest plant and machinery available to ensure that our environmental impact is kept minimal. We aim to recycle almost all as-dug material using riddling buckets to create a pipe bed & surround that not only meets CESWI specification but minimises import & export of material from site. We also aim to avoid de-hedging and tree removal so that re-growth and re-cover is achieved rapidly.
Working in the highway: HWS (UK) LTD have fully certified NRSWA supervisors and operatives and are qualified to carry out all elements of highway trenching and reinstatement to HAUC specification.
Pipe Jointing: Our trained and skilled workforce are fully experienced with jointing all types of pipe in accordance with manufacturers specification. Staff are trained in all manner of pipe jointing techniques and specialist plant is hired where necessary to ensure pipe is jointed correctly.
Reinstatement: From sub-soiling, top-soiling and seeding, HWS (UK) LTD aim to return the land back as soon as reasonably practical, working alongside the client and landowner to ensure they are happy with the approach and quality means that we have assurance in a first-time reinstatement.
Pressure testing and Chlorination: Our staff hold the latest EUSR Pressure Testing and chlorination certification to ensure that both are undertaken in accordance with the latest specification using experienced staff and proven plant.
Pressure Testing is undertaken using the latest in testing equipment with the option of a data logger if required so that all data can be independently analysed, and certificates produced if required.
Chlorination is undertaken using our own LS104 chlorination unit and all work is undertaken in accordance with client specification to ensure the final product is sterilised and ready for client handover / use.
